About Us
Inspired by outstanding food of The Basque Country, widely regarded as the gastronomic heartland of Spain, Pintxito serves pintxos: small, delicious bites of food found in bars across the region alongside seasonally changing tapas and classic Spanish dishes.
The place is small in stature but big on character with a mixture of intimate indoor seating in its historic arches, or al-fresco, ideal for soaking up the buzzing atmosphere of Covent Garden and perfectly positioned for a ringside seat to enjoy the free daily performances of classically trained opera singers.
The bar features a concise list of exclusively Basque drinks including delicious Rioja and Txakoli wines, with the whole list served in 75, 125 and 175ml, making it easy to try a few and decide your favourite.
Pintxos
Pintxos are the small, delicious bites of food found in the bars of San Sebastián, Bilbao and Vitoria in The Basque Country – the stunning region in the north of Spain, famous for its rolling green hills and rugged coastline. The region has a fantastically rich bounty from the land and sea, and the enormous pride the locals take in their food helps ensure it is widely regarded as Spain’s gastronomic heartland.
Locals eat pintxos from midday as a snack or before lunch, or in the evenings before or instead of dinner. Bar hopping from one place to the next makes the whole experience a lively scene. The displays in these bars covering the bar counters make a highly alluring visual impact – you feast with your eyes.
All this is best washed down with the excellent local libations such as Txakoli wine, Rioja Alavesa, cider or beer.
